PECARN Core Data Project Ten-Day (2003)
Study Period: 10 randomly selected days in Feb 1 - April 30,2003
Enrollment: 12,756 visits; 252 fractures and 861 asthma diagnoses
The PECARN Core Data Project (PCDP) Ten-Day dataset is a subset analysis of the PCDP registry data. Its purpose was to measure quantitative agreement and representativeness between the electronic submission and subsequent medical record abstraction. Ten-Day Submission data were obtained by abstraction of emergency department charts on 10 randomly selected days in the first quarter of 2003, with up to 60 charts per institution. Additional data were collected on subjects with long bone fractures or asthma diagnoses.
