Summary

Our long-term goal is to reduce mortality after pediatric injury by improving the timeliness of treating hemorrhagic shock. The overall objectives of this proposal are to refine and validate a pediatric hemorrhage assessment tool (Pediatric Transfusion pRobability After INjury tool [TRAIN]) that predicts hemorrhage risk based on clinical data. This tool will be integrated into existing and future information systems in settings where injured children are treated.
