Summary

We will perform a stepped wedge implementation trial of non-operative management of uncomplicated appendicitis with ED discharge. The pre-implementation phase will encompass treatment as an inpatient-only. The post-implementation will introduce an option that allows for ED discharge for children meeting stability criteria during a 4-6-hour observation period.
