Summary

Social determinates of health play a significant role in healthcare disparities that can lead to poorer health outcomes for vulnerable patient populations. Identifying areas of disparate care in the emergency management of pediatric seizures in both the prehospital and ED settings can inform future work on determining the root cause. This information can then be used to target interventions in both the prehospital and ED settings, as well as inform the development of policies to improve equitable care at the population level.
