Summary

The goals of this concept proposal are to address racial and ethnic disparities in pediatric ED care with an R03 to carry out Aim 1) identifying racial and ethnic disparities in care. Based on that preliminary data, we will subsequently apply for R01 and/or PCORI funding to support Aims 2-4 which will cover the other 3 phases of this plan: understanding provider- and site-specific factors associated with disparities in care; and testing an intervention to reduce disparities using recurring audit and feedback in the form of provider- and site-level, race- and ethnicity-stratified performance measure report cards.
